MTS AllStream has reached a temporary settlement in its legal dispute with cable and digital phone provider, Rogers Communications.
The Manitoba-based telecom sued Rogers last October, over a decision to transfer some of its long distance business to Call-Net Enterprises Inc., which Rogers purchased last summer.
The new agreement will last until the end of this year, and stipulates that Rogers is “obliged to purchase all of its requirements for certain long-distance services” from MTS subsidiary Allstream.
“We are very pleased to have resolved this issue with Rogers,” commented John MacDonald, MTS Allstream`s president of enterprise solutions. “We’ve had a long relationship providing service for Rogers and we look forward to continuing to work together through our new arrangements.”
