British Telecom has extended its fixed-mobile convergence services to enterprise-level customers, in the form of a new offering called BT Corporate Fusion.
This innovative new service will allow corporate users to make wireless calls over an IP PBX system, from any Wi-Fi hotspot, potentially reducing costly mobile phone bills.
We are stitching together the Wi-Fi network, cellular network, corporate directory, and PBX [private branch exchange] functionality, explained BT`s global director of mobile services, Rakesh Mahajan. It`s much more than stapling bills together. It`s about harnessing technology to make it work for you rather than you working for the technology.
