Embarq and Sprint Nextel Launch Bundled Calling Plan
16/02/2007
Overland Park, Kansas-based local telephone operator, Embarq, has launched an all-new bundled plan that offers unlimited domestic landline long distance and 350 anytime cell phone minutes for US$74.90 per month. For an additional monthly charge of $10, customers can double their wireless airtime to 700 minutes a month. Embarq is offering this new package in partnership with its former parent company, Sprint Nextel, which offered to supply the wireless component. This is being seen as an attempt to compete more effectively with AT&T and Verizon Communication, both of which allow customers to bundle landline and cellular service for a discount.
