Canadian cable giant, Cogeco Cable, has announced a 56.3% increase in sales during its third quarter, with total revenues of $240.6 million. Net income increased to an even $20 million, or 53% higher than the same three-month period last year.
Cogeco lost a net total of 2,900 basic cable subscriptions in Q3, but managed to add 8,000 digital television users and 11,000 cable broadband customers. Digital telephony accounted for even more subscriber growth, with the company adding over 19,000 new VoIP customers, up from 15,400 in the third quarter of 2006.
Cogeco now boasts a total of around 2.4 million Revenue-Generating Units, or individual service subscriptions, after adding 35,000 in the latest quarter.
