Regional telephone carrier, Embarq, is rolling out two new fixed-mobile convergence services; Find Me/Follow Me and Call Transfer.
Find Me/Follow Me re-routes home phone calls to a customer’s mobile phone or another alternative number, causing both phones to ring simultaneously, and preventing missed calls.
The live Call Transfer feature, meanwhile, lets customers instantly transfer calls they’ve received on a home phone line to their cell phone, or another preselected number. Calls can also be transferred the other way, back to the original number.
These services are being tested in two Florida markets Winter Park and Tallahassee where each is available at a monthly cost of $4.50.
