America’s leading telecom operator, AT&T Inc., has launched its triple-play (i.e. voice, video, and broadband) U-verse service in about two dozen additional Michigan communities, including Flint, Midland, and Saginaw.

AT&T initially launched its U-verse TV offering in the Detroit area in May 2007, and has expanded it to parts of southeast and western Michigan in the time since then.

New cable franchise legislation passed by the state government in 2006 “paved the way for this investment,” according to AT&T Michigan president, Gail Torreano.
