Palm Inc. announced yesterday that it would make its Treo Pro device available on the Telus Mobility wireless network. The Palm Treo Pro features a built-in QWERTY keyboard, 320 x 320 colour touchscreen, mobile email, and a Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system with Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player. It should be especially attractive to business users, given its ability to view Powerpoint and .PDF files, view and edit Word and Excel documents, and decompress .ZIP files. This device is now available for $150 on a three-year voice and data contract with Telus Mobility, or $550 with no contract.
