Rogers-Bell Advertising Dispute Heading to B.C. Supreme Court08/12/2009
Aspiring mobile phone carrier, DAVE Wireless, announced today that it had successfully placed a call over its 3G cellular network, putting it on schedule for a commercial launch in the early part of next year. “We’re building a great wireless company on a world-class network - and we’re doing it on schedule,” said DAVE’s vice president of network operations, Sharyn Gravelle, in a press release. “We are one step closer to bringing Canadians the wireless service and value they deserve in early 2010.” DAVE, which holds airwaves licenses covering 10 of Canada’s 13 largest cities, is urging consumers not to lock into contracts with established rivals such as Rogers, Bell, and Telus, who are in turn tempting users to sign two- and three-year service agreements in exchange for aggressive discounts on new mobile devices.
