Canadian Wireless Carriers to Implement Enhanced 911 Service

Google has launched a web-based version of its Google Voice application, specifically for Apple iPhone and Palm Pre users. The application, which can be accessed via a mobile web browser, allows users to connect multiple phones to a single Google Voice number, place cheap international calls, and receive voicemail messages in text format. Google already released a standalone ‘Voice’ application for BlackBerry and Android-based smartphones, but that software was rejected by Apple’s popular App Store on the grounds that it duplicated existing iPhone features.
