Bell Canada Settles Overbilling Lawsuit

24/09/2010

Research In Motion’s BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone is now available for pre-order in Canada through Bell Mobility.

The new smartphone, which fell short of being a best seller in the United States, was originally supposed to be available throughout Canada today (September 24) from Bell, as well as Rogers and Telus. We now know, however, that pre-ordered Torch devices won’t actually be shipped out by Bell until September 29. They will be commercially available in Bell and Rogers retail stores beginning on September 30.

Bell Mobility has priced the BlackBerry Torch at $179.95 on a three-year service agreement, while Rogers Wireless will charge $199.99 on the same terms. Telus Mobility has yet to announced pricing.
